Parents are asked to complete an application for enrolment before enrolling their child. Students transferring from another state school are required to produce a transfer from the school, before enrolling at Gabbinbar State School.

In most circumstances, we would prefer to defer enrolments for at least one day, to allow for all necessary arrangements for the best placement of your child to be made. Children who may have special needs may have longer waiting periods.

A child may be enrolled in year 1 if he/she turns six years of age on or before 30 June in the year prior to the year in which he/she seeks enrolment.

A child enrolling from interstate will be located into a year level as close as compatible to Interstate Schooling experience, ability and age. The process will occur as part of the enrolment process.
